Farewell to the Cookbook Pro
By Tim | February 26, 2009
I had an option as a part of my leaving the college to take my Macbook Pro in lieu of part of the redundancy payment. I did seriously consider it, especially given its wonderful non-reflective screen against the new MB Pro. But the reports of the greater coolness of the newer model have swayed my mind.
It has to be said that the heat output of the previous Macbook Pro is simply the best IT based cooking device I’ve ever come across. If only they had designed the underneath of the casing a little more carefully to allow for a grill area with fat drainage channel to allow serious frying to be undertaken.
Many is the time I’ve had to work with a cushion between me and this seductive chunk of heat sink – something I’ve never had to do with any other make of laptop.
It could also be said that the Macbook Pro could be considered as a superb way of limiting reproduction, and could be considered as a stylish (albeit slightly expensive) form of contraception, given that it is a recognised fact that heat build up around the reproductive organ of the male is one of the surest ways of lowering sperm count to zero. I’m surprised Apple has never considered this as a marketing message to break in to new markets, especially given some peoples growing concern about the side effects of medication. What better than sterility through ongoing surfing if your aim is nil offspring.
If you are in any doubt about the above post, and feel I must be exaggerating needlessly just take a look at this post, this one and this one or search like this
